wouldn’t it be nice if we could just close our eyes and wake up with a fresh new start?
it would. But that ain’t ever going to happen. It took over a decade of being hyperglycemic to go from prediabetes to Type 2.
If only we could snap our fingers and go back. What would you do differently?
Do you wish you could make it go away so that you could return to living a carefree life, gobbling up all of the goodies that you used to?
Or would you make a conscientious effort to scale way back on garbage, and get more exercise and sleep, thus preventing the body from ever becoming T2D?
If you are the first group, the one that wants to be able to eat garbage without fear, you are fucked. You are never going to be able to eat that junk without paying heavy physical and emotional consequences.
if you are in the second group, I have some pretty good news for you.
You no longer have to wish for a clean slate, you get a Diabetic Do-Over. Just like when we were kids and didnt like the outcome or result of a game- you could cry Do-Over and get another shot at it. Achieve better results.
You wanna Do-Over? So did I. And I was lucky enough, and blessed with both the time and ability to figure it all out.
I just checked my blood sugar. See, here’s proof.
So, my snack? 3 squares of this delicious dark cacao “chocolate” bar. A couple of handfuls of salted peanuts.
I’m obviously in the third category.
I Will FORCE THIS DISEASE TO GO AWAY.
I was willing to invest a lot of time and effort into figuring out how to live my best life.
For me, I want to beat this disease. Why? Because I like my eyesight
I also like my pee-pee. And my feet.
I choose to keep them. My Diabetic Do Over consists of stopping the disease, which those in group 2 can only hope for. And once stopped? Time to see how far back to normal I can get, while living my best life. The next installment.
My best life.
